Alec and I have lived in our little pink house for two years now and I am so excited that we are finally deciding to redecorate. For some reason I didn’t see us staying in this house for very long so I didn’t want to put any money into it but I’m so sick of looking at our ugly brown table that came with the house and our mismatched furniture. Ok the table actually isn’t ugly at all, in fact it’s pretty nice but it’s just not our style and it doesn’t go with the house. I’ve been getting so inspired by home decor blogs and I’m so excited to make our house feel more like our home. I will definitely do a before and after post once we’re done. In other news we went to Banff for Fourth of July weekend and I can still taste the delicious iced maple cappuccinos from Tim Hortons. Best coffee drink I’ve ever had. Banff is beautiful and some of the lakes are so blue you wouldn’t think they were real looking at a picture. We always have such a great time traveling. Now and then I’ll get asked how we can afford to travel so often and it’s pretty simple. We live really frugally. I’ve owned the same car for ten years, we haven’t bought a new piece of furniture in years (although that’s about to changes!), and we don’t spend money on expensive clothes. We put all that money toward trips because one day hopefully we’ll start a family and settle down so we want to travel as much as we can until then. I’m already planning our next trip!
In other news I got this amazing two piece set in the mail from Dezzal. It’s super comfortable and has pockets! I’ve already worn this outfit twice in the past week because it’s so easy and effortless without looking lazy. So it’s kind of my lazy go to. Delivery was pretty quick on these items and the price isn’t bad for what I got. Good quality clothes. I’m really happy with what I got and I’ll definitely be shopping there again in the future.
About my outfit-
The two piece culottes set is from Dezzal. It’s really comfortable. For some reason I also feel more grown up in it. It’s definitely a change from my normal frilly girly looks which I like. It’s one of those outfits you can throw on when you don’t feel like trying to throw something together.
My jewelry is h&m.
My shoes were thrifted for $7 and I’m really excited about them!
