Phew! Roy’s Peak kicked my butt. It was a pretty steep uphill climb that never evened out. I think it took about 4 1/2 hours of uphill climbing to finally reach the top. I didn’t think I was going to make it to the top but I put one foot in front of the other and just kept going. The view from the top was incredible and was even more rewarding after working so hard to get there. And as if that day couldn’t get any better we saw the southern lights that night! There was an article in the paper the next day saying it was the brightest they’ve seen it in years. We really lucked out.
